Funsai
Funsai was originally created as a katana by Immaculus for Tsubaki. He was given his name from the Japanese funsai, meaning 'pulverisation, smashing, demolishing'. His name was a reference to his body, which was made of tempered adamantine, a rare, unbreakable blue-tinged metal. Immaculus had used the only amount of adamantine steel he possessed (which he obtained from Perseus, after the hero used it to decapitate Medusa), in order to forge Funsai, and develop the katana into a deadly weapon capable of killing gods.
Funsai was wielded by Tsubaki throughout several key battles during the Impuran war with Hell, though was eventually discarded in favour of another weapon. Immaculus, not wanting to waste such a specially crafted blade, used a mix of ancient and modern procedures and rituals to accelerate Funsai's sentience, developing him into a Tsukumogami (付喪神). Ordinarily, Tsukumogami were spirits that came into existence in objects of all types after the said object itself had been in existence for a hundred years, however, Immaculus had managed to speed up the process. Sentient and with a life of his own, Funsai developed his adamantine body into that of a young male human, possibly modeled from Tsubaki, despite the blade's new animosity towards his former wielder.
